Global-Estate Resorts Inc. (GERI), a part of Megaworld, is investing P5 billion to create a 150-hectare beachside property in Lian, Batangas. This project, named Lialto Beach and Golf Estates, is set to be developed over the next decade.
Located about 2.5 hours from Metro Manila and 45 minutes from Tagaytay, Lialto Beach and Golf Estates will be the Megaworld Group's 32nd township. The development will include a residential village, an 18-hole golf course, a beach clubhouse with a 20-meter lighthouse, landscaped gardens, and a nearly one-kilometer beach.
The residential area will feature lots ranging from 300 to 1,200 square meters, some of which will be near the fairways or on elevated sites. Lialto is designed to be a sustainable community, with solar-powered streetlights and a mangrove area that will serve as a marine sanctuary.
Javier Romeo Abustan, Megaworld Global-Estate Inc.'s vice president of sales and marketing, stated that Lialto Beach and Golf Estates is designed for those who wish to enjoy beach and sea views while having access to a unique golf lifestyle. The development aims to offer a healthy and sustainable environment for families, retirees, and investors.
The name "Lialto" is derived from "Lian," the municipality where the project is located, and "Alto," meaning high altitude, reflecting the development's elevated position in Batangas.
GERI is known for developing master-planned tourism estates, such as Eastland Heights in Antipolo, Twin Lakes in Laurel, Boracay Newcoast, The Hamptons Caliraya in Laguna, Sta. Barbara Heights in Iloilo, and Arden Botanical Estate in Cavite. Other notable projects include Southwoods City at the Laguna-Cavite border and Sherwood Hills in Cavite.
