The Alcantara Group (AG) Launches "Linking Hands" Employee Volunteerism Program
On July 1, 2024, the Alcantara Group (AG) launched its "Linking Hands" Employee Volunteerism Program through its community development arm, the Alcantara Foundation. This initiative is designed to foster a culture of volunteerism within Alcantara Group by empowering employees to actively contribute to community development and social impact.
Kamanga Agro-Industrial Ecozone Development Corporation (KAIEDC) participated in the Brigada Eskwela โ24 Kick-off on July 22, 2024 and provided 100 pieces of Monobloc chairs to Changco Elementary School of Barangay Siguel, General Santos City.
Sarangani Energy Corporation (SEC), a locator of KAIEDC and Siguil Hydro Power Corporation (SHPC) also took part in the activity and provided the school with buckets of paint and plywood.
Hon. Jerry M. Jugarap, Barangay Captain of Brgy. Siguel, and representatives from the Department of Education (DepEd), headed by Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) Isagani S. Dela Cruz and Asst. Schools Division Superintendent (ASDS) Mervie Y. Seblos, were also present at the event. KAIEDC was represented by its Estate Group headed by Mr. Neil P. Cachuela.
Currently, Changco Elementary School has 513 enrolled students and 19 teachers & school personnel, led by the School Principal, Mr. Reagan P. Paraguas.
This initiative forms part of the Alcantara Groupโs Linking Hands Brigada Eskwela campaign, which will be carried out by all Alcantara Group subsidiaries based from all over the country from July 22 to July 26, 2024.
