𝗜𝗖𝗬𝗠𝗜: DMCI Homes’ Verdon Parc supported Barangay Ma-a’s observance of the 52nd Nutrition Month, which brought together local officials, health workers, and community members for activities promoting proper nutrition, healthy eating, and food security.

Organized by the Barangay Nutrition Committee, the celebration was held on July 27, 2026, at the Gem Village Covered Court in Purok 18, Barangay Ma-a, Davao City.

This year’s observance carried the theme “Nutrisyon at Kalikasan Ating Pangalagaan!,” underscoring the connection among proper nutrition, food security, and environmental stewardship.

One of the event’s main highlights was a food contest featuring nutritious dishes and creative meal preparations. Participants showcased practical ways to incorporate healthier food choices into their everyday meals.

A Zumba performance also formed part of the program, complementing the celebration’s nutrition advocacy by encouraging residents to remain physically active.

As one of the event sponsors, DMCI Homes’ Verdon Parc provided milk, rice, fruits, and drinking water in support of the community celebration. Verdon Parc was represented during the program by Ms. Merly Q. Amoguis.

The sponsorship supported the Barangay Nutrition Committee’s efforts to make nutrition-related activities more accessible and engaging while strengthening collaboration among the barangay, private organizations, and the wider community.

𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗿𝘆 🏓🔥

IN PHOTOS: Residents of Allegra Garden Place and Prisma Residences gathered for the inaugural ‘Kitchen Wars’ pickleball tournament on July 18, 2026, at the Allegra Garden Place Multipurpose Court.

Organized to celebrate the continued growth of the two communities’ pickleball clubs, the eight-hour tournament featured four teams with 12 players each. A total of 48 competitors took part in matches marked by strategic play, friendly competition, and enthusiastic support from fellow residents.

The tournament marked a significant milestone for the clubs, which began in September 2025 through the residents’ shared interest in the sport. From a small group of players, the pickleball community has since expanded to more than 400 members from Allegra Garden Place and Prisma Residences.

Among the tournament’s highlights was the participation of residents who were introduced to the sport through the clubs’ Pickleball 101 sessions and clinics. Designed for beginners and first-time players, the sessions encouraged residents to learn the fundamentals and take part in community games.

The program initially started at Allegra Garden Place before expanding through a larger clinic at Prisma Residences. Several participants who first picked up a paddle during these introductory sessions went on to compete confidently in the clubs’ first tournament.

Kitchen Wars: Season 1 was held in partnership with Globe At Home, Remomo, Chill Daddy’s Restobar, Cravewell Snacks, Vita Coco, Lakai PH, FWD Insurance, Peter Street Cafe, and Kalos PH Sportswear.

Residents recently came together for a meaningful pet care event featuring Dr. Ronald Lunar of Trevans 2209, a veterinarian and the owner of Davao Emergency Veterinary Hospital.

During the activity, Dr. Lunar shared his expertise and practical insights on responsible pet ownership, helping residents better understand how proper care, awareness, and timely medical attention can support the health and well-being of their pets.

The event also gave pet owners an opportunity to learn from an experienced veterinary professional and become more informed about their role in keeping their animal companions healthy, safe, and happy.

The successful activity reflects the community’s shared commitment to responsible pet care and highlights how the knowledge and experience of residents can create a positive impact on others.

LOOK: Sasha Lacuna, a resident of DMCI Homes’ Dansalan Gardens Condominiums, was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2026 during the pageant’s 62nd coronation night, held on July 18 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Representing Tarlac, she earned the opportunity to carry the Philippine flag at The Miss Globe 2026, which will take place in Phuket, Thailand, from October 24 to November 7.
