If you're wondering why we're staging an art and creative market in one of the older malls in Makati, our answer is basically "have you seen it lately"?

The former Makati Cinema Square (Or MCS para mas cool) used to be given up for dead, an aging relic of the 80s filled with cellphone shops, ukay-ukay joints, and bootleg DVDs. Nowadays, the cellphones and ukay-ukays are still there, but MCS has somehow transformed into that quirky weird mall with the cool stores. More known for it's underrated but excellent restaurant scene (including a Michelin Bib Gourmand recipient!), MCS has a lot of small curiosity stores selling vinyls, toy models, Hi-Fis, old watches, guns (real and otherwise), and so much more.

MCS also has a modest but present art scene and is the home of art galleries such as Underground Gallery and 1159 Creative Space.

So, when you ask us again why are we staging WeeART in MCS, the question should really be "Why only now?"
