An American businesswoman and founder of Auntie Anne's pretzels, she didn't graduate from high school, instead leaving her studies after completing the 8th grade, as most Amish children did in that time. In 1987, Beiler started making hand-rolled pretzels at a market stand in Maryland and named it in 1988 as Auntie Anne's Pretzels. Anne had no previous business experience. The only advertising the company had was the rave reviews from their customers. In 1989, the first Auntie Anne's franchises opened throughout Central Pennsylvania.

A British businesswoman, human rights activist and environmental campaigner, she is best known as the founder of The Body Shop. She believed that business should offer a form of moral leadership, being a more powerful force in society than religion or government. In the late 1990s, she became involved in advocating for the Angola Three, African-American prisoners at the Louisiana State Penitentiary who had already been held in solitary confinement for decades. She helped raise international awareness and funds to aid in their appeals of flawed trials. After her death in 2007, her husband founded 38 Degrees in her memory. He said, "I knew what would make Anita really laugh would be to cause a lot of trouble."

Angela Jean Ahrendts is an American businesswoman and was the senior vice president of retail at Apple Inc. She was the CEO of Burberry from 2006 to 2014. She left Burberry to join Apple in 2014. She was ranked 25th in Forbes' 2015 list of the most powerful women in the world, 9th most powerful woman in the U.K. in the BBC Radio 4 Woman's Hour 100 Power List, and 29th in Fortune's 2014 list of the world's most powerful women in business. She was also a member of the UK's Prime Minister's business advisory council until it was disbanded in 2016.
