Pax Silica (PS) will require tremendous amount of energy and water. It is basically a heat pollutant. Energy is used up most probably by an independent power plant (small modular reactors) and its heat thrown out to the environment by its coolant which is water.
So if together with other data centers, it will not increase average world temperature, PS would be better operated in an uninhabited island because of its access to sea water which can be desalinated to supply cooling water to the center. That way the heat it will throw to the environment would not affect local inhabitants.
If on the other hand all data centers heat pollution could affect world temperature, we better regulate it.
