In celebration of the International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem (International Mangrove Day), let’s recognize their importance and take action to protect their natural habitats!

𝑫𝒊𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘? 💡

The Tamaraw (𝐵𝓊𝒷𝒶𝓁𝓊𝓈 𝓂𝒾𝓃𝒹𝑜𝓇𝑒𝓃𝓈𝒾𝓈) is a critically endangered species found only on the island of Mindoro! To help protect them, the DENR launched the Tamaraw Conservation Program, partnering with local governments and deploying Tamaraw Rangers to safeguard these rare animals.

Let’s revisit the inspiring story of Eduardo Bata, a Tamaraw Ranger from Mts. Iglit-Baco Natural Park, who dedicates his life to protecting the tamaraws and their habitat.

𝖩𝗎𝗅𝗒 25, 2025- In pursuit of a cleaner, greener, and healthier learning environment, the YES-O members of MPNHS actively participated in a Clean-Up Drive within the school grounds.

With broomsticks, dustpans, and a strong sense of environmental responsibility, our youth leaders worked hand-in-hand to promote cleanliness, proper waste management, and environmental care. This activity is part of our continuous commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship!

Kudos to our dedicated YES-O members and officers for leading by example!

𝙔𝙀𝙎-𝙊 𝙐𝙋𝘿𝘼𝙏𝙀 | 𝙂𝙃𝙂 𝙀𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙄𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙥 🌱

Today, July 30, 2025, ten passionate and committed Science teachers from both the Junior and Senior High School of Mariano Peralta National High School are participating in the Entity and Community Level Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emission Inventory Workshop held at SPAMAST Malita.

This initiative, led by Prof. Leonel P. Lumogdang, a Biology professor at SPAMAST, aims to equip educators with the knowledge and skills to identify, measure, and mitigate greenhouse gas emissions—paving the way for more climate-resilient communities.

Following the workshop, the learning continues at MPNHS as the team, under the leadership of Harry Chestered G. Empistan, YES-O Coordinator, integrates GHG awareness activities into school-based programs and student engagements—turning theory into action.

Representing MPNHS in this meaningful endeavor are Harry Chestered G. Empistan, Sarah C. Gutierrez, Jannice Maricor A. Navaja, Eusebia Y. Salvacion, Jessa R. Diez, Jioscora D. Garrido, Radelia T. Alforo, Cleo Raina A. Cacho, and Pearl Monnette C. Ang.

We salute our teacher-participants for their commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability education. MPNHS continues to lead the way in climate education—one step, one workshop at a time.
