I don't know with you but more often than not, whenever I go window shopping or really shopping around, I tend to flip the item over in search for its tags so I can check its price, first thing.
I believe this is a result of mind conditioning we got while we were growing up. We often hear our elders too many times reminding us the essence of hard-earned money. This must have influenced our behavior each time we make any purchase.
Price is always the big factor to consider.
And then, as a result of being price-conscious, we tend to run towards bargains. We often assume that it is better to have more number of items with the amount of money that we are willing to spend.
We fail to remember the most dreaded after-purchase experience most often. But by then, it's too late for us to realize that most bargain items are also of bargain quality. We even have a household name for such items which is "China-made" for we knew too well that these kinds of cheap products are mostly manufactured in the country.
I refuse to conform to such a buying practice myself though, for I believe it's rather a waste of money when you have to repeat buy the same item in order to replace a previously damaged purchase.
How fortunate are those who we have figured out the value of buying quality over price.
