Just a short ride from the unit is one of Iloilo's most photographed streets — Calle Real, officially named J.M. Basa Street, though locals still call it by its old Spanish name meaning "Royal Street."

Even during the Spanish colonial period, this stretch functioned as the city's main street of commerce, and it's often called the Escolta of Iloilo for its resemblance to Manila's own historic shopping street. Walking it today, you'll pass neoclassical, beaux-arts, and art deco buildings dating back to the colonial period, and many of their ground floors have housed shops since the Spanish era and still do today.

It's a short, walkable stretch — less than a kilometer long — perfect for an afternoon of photos in between check-in and dinner.
