Dearest REM Community,

As we bid farewell to an incredible year, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support and dedication. To the Executive Board and to the members who stepped out of their comfort zones, I salute you for your courage and commitment.

It's been an extraordinary year for REGAL and the REM program, marked by significant milestones and lasting impact on our community. From welcoming incoming freshmen to engaging current students and alumni, our initiatives have made a profound difference. Our Springboard Licensure Exam Review for Brokers and Appraisers has empowered students to succeed, while REMarkable Night has honored the exceptional performance of our students and graduates. The success of REMarkable Night even paved the way to a college-wide celebration, Topnotcher's Night, demonstrating the ripple effect of community service that we've created. As we look to the future, we're confident that the positive impact of our efforts will continue to resonate for years to come.

As we embark on a new chapter of reorganization, our passion and desire to help will only continue to grow stronger. The group that we have formed will transition into a volunteer-led initiative. We'll be working closely with the incoming REM Program Coordinator and incoming SMIT Dean to continue our commitment to making a difference. In this way, we will remain steadfast in our commitment to volunteerism, using it as our compass as we navigate this new chapter and maintain our dedication to our mission and values.

This is not a goodbye, but a new beginning. We invite all students who share our passion for helping others to join us on this exciting journey. Together, let's continue to create a positive impact in our community and keep the momentum going and create an even brighter future for Benilde. Thank you again for an unforgettable year, and I look forward to seeing the incredible things we'll achieve extraordinarily together!

BENILDE REM PROGRAM HOLDS INAUGURAL OPEN HOUSE EVENT

Manila, Philippines - August 20, 2024 - The Real Estate Management Program (REMP) of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, in collaboration with the Real Estate Group for Advancement and Leadership (REGAL), successfully held its first-ever General Assembly, dubbed as "Open House", at the Duerr Hall Auditorium in Taft Campus.

The event, which is a town-hall type of assembly, aimed to foster a sense of community among REMP faculty and students, in line with the College's vision of inclusion. It brought together incoming students of ID 124 and current students, providing a platform for them to interact and get a glimpse of what the program has to offer.

The Open House event also featured an expo-type exhibit showcasing the feasibility studies of senior students from their REPROJ2 and RECONRE classes. Students from different batches shared their experiences and insights on college life in the Benilde REM program, highlighting opportunities for growth and development, such as representing the school in international and national competitions, leading in school-wide events, and participating in co-curricular activities.

School of Management and Information Technology (SMIT) Associate Dean Ricky Cruz graced the program and emphasized the importance of embracing failure as a stepping stone to success. He reminded everyone that "failure to accept failure is a failure itself."

The event also saw the announcement of changes in the program's leadership, with former Program Chairperson Doc Joan Diñoso set to take on the role of SMIT Dean next term, and Sir Mark Jayson de Jesus assuming the position of Program Coordinator. Sir de Jesus introduced the REMP faculty for the next academic year, which includes a lineup of licensed professionals and board top passers from their respective years.

The Open House event also recognized student achievers, including those who achieved the highest score in mock board examinations, Ma. Cassandra Soriano (99.5%), and top students from ID 123, 122, and 121 batches namely Razelle Lizardo (CGPA: 3.8230), Joselito Perez (CGPA: 3.7240), and Jonas Roque (CGPA: 3.97). REGAL is also recognized for its valuable contribution to the student community development.

The REMP Open House is slated to become an annual event, with plans to hold it at least once every academic year.

Benilde REM Program Achieves Another Historic Milestone: Two Topnotchers from Benilde Excel in Licensure Exams

Manila, Philippines - In a remarkable display of academic excellence, two Benilde students stood out among the top performers, with Genalyn Christine Cruz ranking 5th with a score of 89.00% and Julienne Carly Saputil ranking 9th with a score of 87.00%, in the recent Real Estate Appraisers Licensure Examination held on August 8, 2024. The College also eclipses the national passing rate. The impressive results are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the students, as well as the high-quality education provided by the College.

The College's achievement is a significant milestone, demonstrating its continued excellence in providing quality education and preparing students for success in their chosen careers. Congratulations to the Real Estate Management Program students and faculty on this outstanding achievement!

🏡 Of Land and Improvement 🏡

De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, represented by REGAL members, landed 1st runner-up, an improvement from last year’s ranking, in the REAP 2024 Quiz Bee organized by the Real Estate Brokers Association of the Philippines (REBAP). The event was held on July 18-19 at Glorietta Activity Center in Makati.

While DLS-CSB closed the gap during the third round, the defending champion, Philippine Christian University, secured the lead to win their second title. The quiz bee is a snapshot of the real estate brokerage exam.

The delegation included Aicelyn Bonifacio, Paul Gabriel Co, Alfonso Christian Dela Victoria, Jomari Gallano, John Patrick Pascua, Jonas Roque, Sophia Shezley Stefanowitz, Maria Abigail Uson, and Ma. Sophia Verona.

🤙 Eyyyy Space Odysseyyy 🤙

The first day of SMITensity 2024 is done, but the memories of the first Parcel Pursuit quiz bee last forever!

Heavily inspired by Monopoly and Game KNB?, six pairs of space invaders battled to occupy lands on a new planet by conquering the cosmos of management and infotech-related questions. This exciting game quiz bee took place at Ideation Hall, The Atrium @ Benilde on July 15.

Matthew Thomas Feliciano and Carlos Tabujara from BSBA Export Management claimed a 🍬sweet victory🍬 after blocking the rest from acquiring land parcels. Miguel Esquillo (BS Human Resource Management) and Samuel Liao (BS Real Estate Management) were the runners-up. The teams will receive PHP 2,000 and PHP 1,000, respectively, from SMIT Student Government and REGAL.
