More condos will actually help ease traffic, not make it worse.
Why? Because when you live in the city, you (MOSTLY) walk to work, walk to school, walk to restaurants, gyms, and errands. You donโt need to drive an hour just to get anywhere โ your life happens within walking distance.
More people living in business districts means fewer people driving in from far away every day. Thatโs less congestion on major roads like EDSA and C5. And with more people walking or biking, we create a healthier, more sustainable city.
By the way, Iโm not confirming that theyโre building residential condos here but do we really think they went through all this trouble just to put up more grass lol ๏ฟผ
EDIT - To answer most comments:
Youโre right โ condos are not affordable for most people. But the ones who end up moving into them are usually those who can afford to drive alone in a car. These solo drivers add to traffic congestion because each person is taking up space on the road with their own vehicle.
On the other hand, people with lower incomes often canโt afford a car and rely on public transit, where one bus can carry 40 or more people. Thatโs way more efficient in terms of road use compared to 40 individual cars.
So when we talk about whoโs actually clogging the streets, itโs often not the people using public transportation โ itโs the solo drivers in their private vehicles.
