(PELCO 1), is an Electric Cooperative duly organized, incorporated, and registered pursuant to PD No. 269, as amended by PD No. 1645 and further amended by RA 10531. It is a Distribution Utility that caters electric service to the Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs) in the Municipalities of Arayat, Candaba, Magalang, Mexico, San Luis, and Sta. As of March 2021, the franchise area of PELCO 1 has a total

of 110,028 MCOs composed of 103,033 Residences, 6,239 Commercial Establishments, 1,450 Public Buildings, 217 Street Lights, 58 Commercial High-Voltage Facilities, 10 Industrial High-Voltage Facilities, 9 Irrigation Facilities, 5 Industrial Establishments, 1 Irrigation High-Voltage Facility, 1 Industrial Special High-Voltage 1 Facility, 1 Industrial Special High-Voltage 2 Facility and 4 Public Buildings High-Voltage Facilities. Electricity is delivered to PELCO 1 from Masinloc Power Partners Co., Ltd (MPPCL) whose power plant is located in Masinloc, Zambales by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) through its facility located at Barangay San Jose Matulid, Mexico, Pampanga.

Please be informed that all PELCO I offices will be closed on Monday, June 15, 2026, pursuant to Proclamation No. 1280, which declares this day a Special Non-Working Day in the Province of Pampanga in commemoration of the 35th anniversary of the Mt. Pinatubo eruption. This observance aims to ensure that the lessons and values learned from this historic event continue to live on and are never forgotten by the people of Pampanga.

The eruption of Mt. Pinatubo on June 15, 1991, recognized as the second-largest volcanic eruption of the 20th century, caused widespread devastation and significantly affected the provinces of Pampanga, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, and Nueva Ecija.

As we remember this significant event in our history, may we honor the resilience, unity, and strength demonstrated by the affected communities in overcoming the challenges brought about by the eruption.

Regular office operations will resume on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.

Note: Members-Consumers (MCs) may settle their electric bills at any of our accredited PELCO I Bayad Centers (PBCs) or through partner outlets such as SM Bills Payment, Union Bank, Security Bank, and EC Pay outlets (7-Eleven, GCash, PayMaya, and TrueMoney).

Please be informed that all PELCO I offices will be closed on Friday, June 12, 2026, in observance of Philippine Independence Day, pursuant to Proclamation No. 1006, which declares this day a Regular Holiday throughout the country.

As we commemorate the 128th Anniversary of Philippine Independence, may this meaningful occasion inspire us to honor the courage, sacrifices, and patriotism of our national heroes who fought for the freedom and democracy we enjoy today.
