Filinvest Alabang Inc. has placed Philippine urban development on the global map after earning two Gold Awards at the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence in Vienna, a first for the country in the long-running international real estate competition.
Filinvest City received Gold in the Master Plan category, while the Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel, located within River Park inside Filinvest City in Alabang, Muntinlupa, was recognized under Purpose Built, placing both projects alongside leading developments from around the world.
The 244-hectare Alabang CBD has been developed around a connected mix of offices, residential areas, and lifestyle destinations, with walkable routes and green corridors forming part of how movement and daily activity flow across the township.
Filinvest City’s Master Plan recognition highlights a long-term approach to urban design that has shaped the district for more than three decades, with its integrated layout bringing together commercial, institutional, and residential spaces within one continuous environment.
Within River Park, the chapel designed by Hiroshi Nakamura & NAP Architects draws attention for its white lily-inspired form, set against the landscaped surroundings of the park and positioned as a quieter space within the wider commercial district.
The FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence is regarded as one of the highest distinctions in global real estate, with entries evaluated alongside developments from more than 60 member countries.
The awards position locally developed masterplanned communities in clearer view on the international stage, placing Philippine urban projects in direct comparison with established global benchmarks.
