In a world where people can easily turn someone’s vulnerability into a conversation, may we find friendships where our weaknesses are safe.👩❤️👩
Proverbs 17:9 reminds us that love covers an offense, while repeatedly talking about it can separate even close friends.
A godly friend doesn’t pretend that you have no flaws. They see your imperfections clearly, but they don’t define you by them. They cover. They pray. They correct with love. They protect what you entrusted to them.
They can tell you, “Mali ka dito,” without making you feel worthless.
They can confront you without humiliating you.
They can know your darkest season without using it to question your worth in your brightest season.
And when you’re not in the room, they don’t turn your name into entertainment.
That is the kind of friendship we should pray for,
but also the kind of friend WE SHOULD BECOME.📌
Proverbs 27:17 says, “Iron sharpens iron.”
So yes, pray for friends who will cover you in prayer, not in gossip.
Pray for friends who will tell you the truth,
not tell stories about you.
Pray for friends who will celebrate your growth
instead of competing with it.
But while you’re praying for that kind of friendship,
become that kind of friend too.🥰
Be the friend who protects the confidence.
Be the friend who speaks life in their absence.
Be the friend who corrects privately and loves publicly.
Be the friend who chooses grace over gossip.
Because godly friendship isn’t about finding perfect people.
It’s about finding people who are committed to loving imperfect people in a Christlike way.
You don’t need many friends to feel loved.
You need the RIGHT ones:
✅friends who bring you closer to God,
not closer to gossip…
✅closer to purpose, not comparison…
✅closer to healing, not hurt.
May God give you a small circle with a big capacity to love like Christ. 🤍🙏🏻
