POSITIONING IS KEY IN REAL ESTATE INVESTING. ๐๏ธโ๏ธ
One of the countryโs biggest upcoming infrastructure projects โ the ๐New Manila International Airport.
Why does this matter to investors?
Because in real estate, location today can mean opportunity tomorrow.
Major infrastructure can drive connectivity, business, jobs, tourism, and property demand.
Donโt just invest in a property. Invest where growth is heading.
๐ฉ Letโs talk about property opportunities in emerging growth areas.
NMIA could transform Philippine aviation and the economy.
The New Manila International Airport (NMIA) is widely recognized as the largest private-sector investment in Philippine history. The total estimated cost of the "Bulacan Aerotropolis" development sits between โฑ735 billion and โฑ740 billion (approximately $12.5 to $15 billion USD).
It is funded entirely by San Miguel Corporation and is being built under a 50-year Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) concession agreement and requires no taxpayer funding or government guarantees.
The Masterplan and Design of NMIA and its surrounding ecosystem were collaborative efforts handled by several prominent global and local firms:
-Masterplanning: PALAFOX and Associates
-Groupe ADP (Aรฉroports de Paris): Handled master planning validation and terminal architecture design.
-Jacobs Engineering Group: Managed overall aviation infrastructure project consulting.
-Meinhardt Group: Provided structural and detailed engineering solutions.
-Haskoning: Land Development
At 2,500 hectares and with land development reportedly 80% complete, the New Manila International Airport could be ready to cater passengers with completion of its first runway starting november 2028.
The airport can handle 35 million passengers annually on phase 1, with ultimate capacity of 100 million once the project is fully operational.
But a project this massive must deliver more than terminals and runways. Connectivity, flooding, environment, communities, and long-term resilience must be part of the equation.
Build big. Build better. And most importantly, build responsibly.
