"I joined Ortigas and Company in 2002, and after a year or two, I told my mentor that I could grow old and would love to retire with this Company. Then, Ortigas and Company Limited Parnership was run like a family business. It felt like I was part of an extended family wherein they valued company culture, loyalty and team dynamics. Everyone was generous with their professional and personal time.

I stayed and grew with the company and now I am a proud owner and resident of one of the company’s first ventures into residential condominiums. Not once have I regretted investing in it. Many others are proud homeowners and residents as well, and I can’t help but wonder if this was the dream of our then President, Atty. Rafael “Rafa” Ortigas. He dreamt that the company would develop decent houses that employees could purchase and be proud of. The result, I guess, is that it’s gone beyond his expectations.

I will never forget the generosity of this company to each one of its employees over the years. For decades, it was never just about the growth of the business but the growth of its people too. The company was forced to evolve over time and fortunately, it did, and for the better. Ortigas Land Corporation is a force to be reckoned with and I’m most proud to be part of it."

For 95 years, Ortigas Land has been at the forefront of shaping communities that define modern Filipino living—anchored in heritage, yet constantly evolving for the future.

My journey with the company began in 2017 as a project-based Handover Architect for The Viridian in Greenhills. What started as a role focused on delivering individual units soon became a deeper commitment to ensuring quality, precision, and meaningful homeowner experiences.

Over the years, I was given the opportunity to grow within the Residential Business Unit—eventually leading my own team and handling luxury residential developments such as The Royalton and The Imperium. These experiences not only strengthened my technical expertise but also honed my leadership, as I became part of delivering high-end developments that reflect Ortigas Land’s standards of excellence.

Today, I take on a new assignment within the Residential Business Unit, embracing new responsibilities and opportunities that continue to challenge me professionally and personally. This transition marks not just a career milestone, but also a meaningful alignment with Ortigas Land’s vision of creating inclusive and future-ready developments.
What makes this journey truly special is being part of a company that invests in its people—one that allows you to grow, lead, and evolve alongside its legacy.

As we celebrate 95 years, I take pride in knowing that beyond the buildings we create, we are shaping communities and opportunities for generations to come.

"As Ortigas & Company marks its 95th anniversary, I can’t help but reflect on how deeply its legacy is intertwined with our own family’s story. I recently turned 50 and am now on my fifth year with the company, while my Pops at 73 and still reporting as a consultant with quiet pride is on his 47th. I quite literally grew up in these hallways. After school, I would sit at the corner of his desk, finishing homework and greeting his colleagues as “Tita” and “Tito,” long before I understood their roles. To me, the office was never just a workplace; it was an extension of home where “family” meant everyone, from executives to housekeeping, drivers, and security guards, each treated with the same dignity and respect as equals.

Today, the story has come full circle. My son now drops by after school, moving between my desk and his grandfather’s, warmly greeting some of the same “Titas” and “Titos” I once knew only now, I work alongside them. The familiarity, the warmth, the quiet loyalty that has spanned generations is something rare and deeply meaningful.

My Pops often shares that he would not have stayed this long if not for the leadership of Atty. Rafael Ortigas Jr., who genuinely treated employees like family and truly meant everyone. Because of that culture, Ortigas gave my father the opportunity to provide for us, to raise us well, and to build a life grounded in dignity and hard work. Joining the company decades later was never simply a career move; it was a quiet act of gratitude. My own way of honoring and paying forward the care extended to our family for nearly half a century."

"We were given an opportunity, and we grabbed it. By the time we were able to buy our first home in Circulo Verde, I was already married. What I truly wanted was for my daughter to grow up in a good community. Before that, we were just renting. When the unit was offered to my family, we didn’t hesitate. We only needed to pay the move-in fees and the first downpayment. The best part was that it was rent-to-own — making monthly payments with the assurance that the home would eventually be ours. I’m truly grateful to the company and feel privileged because, in my eight years here, we were able to own our condo. Because of the opportunities and steady growth I experienced, I was able to buy my first home. Every time I open our front door, I’m reminded that this company helped make that dream possible. From renting to finally owning our own home — it has been a major milestone for our family."

"I’ve been with Ortigas Land for a year now. I joined the company as a fresh graduate, which made the experience even more defining for me. Initially, I felt hesitant entering the corporate world, especially in a completely new environment. Everything moved quickly, on my first day being a Digital Marketing Associate, I was already entrusted responsibilities. While it was overwhelming at first, it pushed me to adapt, build confidence, and step up early in my career. That early hands-on experience eventually led to recognition, which reinforced my belief that Ortigas Land truly values and takes care of its people.

One of my most memorable milestones was leading my own digital campaign, from planning to ex*****on, just eight months into my role. At that time, I was still learning and adjusting, but being trusted with that responsibility pushed me to grow. Seeing the campaign succeed made the experience even more fulfilling. I also value being part of estate events. Those moments highlight strong teamwork, where everyone works together seamlessly. It’s a productive and enjoyable experience that I always look forward to.

Ortigas Land has helped me grow by continuously developing my skills and trusting me with meaningful work, especially as I started as a fresh graduate in my first corporate role. It’s an environment where effort is recognized, and even as one of the youngest in the team, my ideas are valued. That kind of support encourages me to keep improving and take on new challenges.

"I have been with Ortigas Land for 24 years. When I joined in 2002, we were only around 52 employees—a small, dynamic, and family-oriented organization. What struck me most during my early days was the genuine passion people had for their work. You could see it in their sincere smiles and feel it in the way they cared for one another. From that humble beginning to where we are today, it truly warms my heart to have been part of—and a witness to—this incredible growth.

One of the most memorable phases in my career was during the reorganization period. It was a challenging yet fulfilling time as we worked on establishing HR policies and procedures, reviewing compensation and benefits, and developing training programs. Throughout it all, we made sure to prioritize employee welfare above anything else.

Ortigas Land has played a significant role in shaping who I am today. The company supported my graduate studies and gave me the opportunity to attend a management program in a prestigious institution. My mentors were incredibly understanding and supportive, especially during the time I was balancing work and studies. These experiences were instrumental in my personal and professional development.

On a personal level, this is also where I found meaningful friendships that have become like family. These are people who supported me through mistakes and celebrated my successes. When I was assigned as HR Business Partner to the Shopping Centers Division (now Ortigas Malls Division), I was empowered by my mentors to explore my potential. They trusted me, allowed me to spread my wings, and reassured me that they had my back.

Ortigas Land continuously provides platforms for learning and growth. Employee development is deeply embedded in the organization’s culture, and as part of HR, we continue to create programs and training initiatives that help individuals grow and succeed.

I am proud to be part of Ortigas Land because I have witnessed firsthand how the company has evolved—from primarily focusing on shopping centers to becoming a strong and competitive player in the industry, now expanding into residential developments and the hotel and resort business.
