Daklis or Dragnet, referring to a large fishing net and the traditional, community-based method of pulling it ashore. Fishermen deploy the net hundred of meters out in the sea
in U shape. Villagers, onlookers, and fishermen of all ages line up on the beach to rhythmically pull the heavy ropes together, embodying the Filipino cultural tradition of bayanihan (communal unity and cooperation) to bring in the catch for sharing.
If you notice, pullers/fisherman has a rope or cloths tied in their waist to help them pull the net ashore.
Kayo mga ka-Life, share nyo naman kung nakaranas na kayo mag daklis.
