DMCI Homes to build flood control infrastructure serving Taguig communities
, DMCI Homes signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the City of Taguig to implement coordinated flood mitigation measures for communities surrounding its Acacia Estates township development, reflecting the companyโs commitment to corporate social responsibility.
DMCI Homes President Alfredo Austria and Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano led the signing ceremony for the Acacia Estates Interceptor Canal Project at the convention center of the new Taguig City Hall.
Facilitated with the support of Councilor Allan Paul Cruz, chair of the Committee on Public Works and Infrastructure, the initiative includes the construction of an interceptor canal that will channel stormwater toward the Taguig River and Hagonoy River.
It also covers the development of a temporary stormwater retention facility designed to manage excess water during periods of heavy rainfall.
The Acacia Estates Interceptor Canal Project is set to benefit six nearby barangays: Ususan, Bambang, Hagonoy, Katuparan, San Miguel, and Wawa.
