RAILWAYS FOR PROGRESS!
ALL OVER LUZON, VISAYAS & MINDANAO!
(Including the MM Subway Project and fast tracking and further extensions of MRT7 from San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan to the NMIA (new airport).in Bulakan, Bulacan and the LRT1 Cavite Ext. Project from Bacoor, Cavite to the Nuvali/Sta. Rosa/Binan area in Laguna)
LUZON:
A LONG-TERM VISION FOR A NEW MEGALOPOLIS AND MORE INVESTMENTS FOR ECONOMIC GROWTH!
(gradually decongesting Metro Manila and significantly reducing our horrendous traffic)
A suggestion for the formation of 3 RAILWAY LOOPS by inter-connecting existing, ongoing and proposed railway lines to create a new MEGALOPOLIS comprising of Metro Manila plus NEW BUSINESS CENTERS and NEW HUMAN SETTLEMENTS outside of the very much congested Metro Manila.
These new areas of development are to be located in the cohesive areas formed by the 3 railway loops in Central Luzon, the CALABA Region (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas) and the eastern portion of Laguna de Bay with a new railway line from the Calamba NSCR Sta. to the Taytay MRT4 Sta. along the Manila East Road traversing along the scenic east coast of Laguna de Bay.
The ongoing world class NSCR line from Clark to Calamba shall serve as the BACKBONE of this EXPANSIVE RAILWAYS NETWORK of the new MEGALOPOLIS that could be the BIGGEST IN SOUTHEAST ASIA!
This railways network could also be integrated into a Grand Railroad line from Laoag Ilocos Norte in the Ilocos Region in the north all the way to Matnog, Sorsogon in the Bicol region the southernmost point of the island of Luzon.
In addition, for Luzon, the 2 major LRTs now ongoing should be fast tracked and further extended.
The MRT7 of SMC to the north should be fast tracked and further extended from San Jose Del Monte to the NMIA project also of SMC in Bulacan.
And the LRT1 Cavite Ext. of LRMC/MPIC Should be fast tracked and further extended from Bacoor, Cavite to the now bustling area of Nuvali/Sta. Rosa/Binan with a possible link in Binan to the world class NSCR Line that goes from Clark in Pampanga to Calamba in Laguna.
VISAYAS:
Going further south I believe that there should likewise be a renewed interest in the revival of the old railway networks in the islands of Panay, Negros and Cebu in the Visayas Region.
New lines could also be considered in Negros Island from Bacolod to Dumaguete and in the islands of Bohol, Samar and Leyte primarily for transport of people and farm products as well as opening areas for low-cost housing developments.
MINDANAO:
More attention should also be given to the long-delayed Mindanao Railway Network in the rich but underdeveloped island of Mindanao that could start with a MUSLIM-CHRISTIAN friendship railway from ILIGAN to GENSAN in honor of Manny PACMAN Pacquiao our world-renowned boxing hero who is a hero to both Muslims and Christians not only in the Philippines but also in distant lands!
This Muslim-Christian Friendship Railway hopefully funded by our friends from the Middle East could easily lead to a Mindanao Railway Loop going from Iligan to Gensan then to Davao then to Cagayan de Oro then back to Iligan.
All of these proposed railway lines all over Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao aside from local, various Foreign and Middle East investors could also be offered for investments to the government of Japan in line with the current thrust towards advancing our shared principles and goals of peace, security and growth in the Indo-Pacific region.
A robust Philippine economy will definitely increase our resources for improving our capabilities for defending our national security especially in preserving and defending our maritime interests and sovereign rights in the West Philippine Sea well within our EEZ.
