Sagot: Sa karamihan ng sitwasyon, ang Tenant ang dapat maglinis ng harapan ng inuupahan, dahil bahagi ito ng lugar na kanyang ginagamit araw-araw. May kasabihan nga na “Tapat mo, linis mo.”
Ang simpleng pagwawalis at pagpapanatiling malinis ng harapan ay nagpapakita ng pagiging responsable at paggalang sa inuupahang bahay. Hindi makatarungan na ang Landlord pa ang araw-araw na maglilinis ng lugar na ginagamit ng Tenant.
Halimbawa:
Kung may mga tuyong dahon, kalat, o plastik sa tapat ng inuupahang unit, nararapat lamang na ang Tenant ang magwalis at maglinis nito. Ganito rin ang ginagawa sa maraming subdivision at apartment upang mapanatiling malinis ang buong komunidad.
Gayunpaman, kung ang paglilinis ay may kinalaman sa malalaking trabaho tulad ng paglilinis ng kanal ng buong compound, pagputol ng malalaking puno, o major maintenance na sakop ng buong property, maaari nang maging responsibilidad iyon ng Landlord o ayon sa napagkasunduan sa kontrata.
Bilang Landlord, mainam na malinaw na nakasaad sa House Rules o Contract of Lease na ang bawat Tenant ay responsable sa kalinisan ng harapan ng kanilang inuupahang unit upang maiwasan ang hindi pagkakaunawaan.
