June 15,2025 Feast of the Holy Trinity John 16: 12 – 15
The Spirit of Truth will guide you to all truth.

Today’s feast does not present us with three gods, but rather with fullness of the Godhead, who gifts us with all that we need. This God has given us life, has redeemed us from our often self-centered way of life and has gifted us with the water and fire of holiness.

We read in Jesus’ discourse at the Last Supper so many promising words of hope that he shares with his disciples, words meant to carry them through and beyond the dark days that were to follow.

In today’s Gospel passage, it the promise of truth, but truth not from human sources, but from the Godhead.

We seek truth today, but often have a hard time finding it under the many layers of human intrigue and manipulation that surround us. May today draw us to quiet moments when we ask the Spirit of Truth to show us a bit more of our own truth and how it should bless our world.

Gospel Reading: John 16:12-15

Jesus said to his disciples:

"I have much more to tell you, but you cannot bear it now.

But when he comes, the Spirit of truth,
he will guide you to all truth.

He will not speak on his own,
but he will speak what he hears,
and will declare to you the things that are coming.

He will glorify me,
because he will take from what is mine and declare it to you.

Everything that the Father has is mine;

for this reason I told you that he will take from what is mine
and declare it to you."
