Are you planning on repainting a room? This guide can be very helpful!
Here are some more tips from my end:
Darker paints like deep blues or charcoal grays can make a large room seem cozier and more intimate. They absorb light, creating a snug atmosphere.
Light and Airy: Light and neutral colours such as whites, soft grays, and pastels can open up a small room, making it feel more spacious and airy.
Accent Walls for Focus: Painting one wall in a contrasting or bold colour can create a focal point, drawing the eye away from the room's size. It adds interest without overwhelming the space.
Ceiling Illusion: Painting the ceiling a lighter shade than the walls can give the illusion of a higher ceiling, making the room feel taller.
Vertical Stripes for Height: Vertical stripes, whether painted or through wallpaper, can visually extend the height of a room. This is especially effective in rooms with low ceilings.
Horizontal Stripes for Width: Conversely, horizontal stripes can make a room seem wider. They create a sense of expansion, ideal for narrow spaces.
Tone-on-Tone: Using different shades of the same colour family, known as a monochromatic scheme, can add depth and dimension to a room without changing its perceived size.
