Earlier this week, our family was deeply honored when the John Gokongwei, Jr. Boulevard at Bridgetowne was unveiled.
The timing was meaningful, coming just days before what would have been his 100th birthday on August 11.
Many people remember John Gokongwei Jr. as a bold entrepreneur who built big businesses. We remember him first as a father who taught us the value of hard work, integrity, and believing in the potential of our country and our people.
Seeing his name on a boulevard is a humbling tribute. More importantly, we hope it serves as a reminder of the values he lived by and the meaningful breakthroughs he created to help improve the lives of Filipinos.
