Today, we celebrate Bonifacio Day in commemoration of the 158th birthday of Andrés Bonifacio. As we all know, he is widely recognized by many titles, including Supremo of the Katipunan, The Great Plebeian, the Unofficial First President of the Independent Philippines, and, of course, the Father of the Philippine Revolution. Nonetheless, Bonifacio is remembered as one of the Philippines' greatest heroes.
Bonifacio Day is a simple reminder for all of us to be brave in the midst of complex situations. It's time to let out our inner hero and triumph over all the silent battles we've chosen to fight on our own.
