VP Sara: ‘pro-China, brat, lukaret, confidential funds nilustay’ label part of ‘anti-Sara’ narrative

Vice President Sara Duterte said being called a ‘brat’ does not surprise her at all claiming this is part of the ‘’messaging narrative’ crafted by ‘anti-Sara Duterte’ forces with the alleged intent of destroying her “reputation.”
This was Duterte’s reaction after Mamamayang Liberal (ML) party-list Representative and known Duterte political foe Atty. Leila de Lima branded her a ‘brat’ following her non-appearance at the recent House plenary deliberations on the Office of the Vice President’s (OVP) proposed budget for 2026.
“Ang administration led by Malacañang Palace, ang Makabayan, ang Akbayan, members of the Liberal Party, yung mga Pink and Yellow and all others meron yan silang narrative about Inday Sara. Kung napapansin niyo, paulit-ulit lang yan na sinasabi nila,” she said during a press conference in Zamboanga City on October 14, 2025.
She added, “kung ano yung lumalabas sa bibig ng Malacañang Palace, susunod yung kanilang online service providers sa news whether it be fake news, vloggers, totoong news or trolling, pare-pareho yung narrative nila.”
“Lahat ng lumabas na mga articles. Isa lang yan sinasabi nila - number one pro-China, number two brat, number three lukaret, crazy at number four confidential funds nilustay,” she said.
Duterte is alleging this is a continuous cycle “hoping siguro na one of those will stick sa image or sa reputation para makasira sa akin.”
“That’s a messaging narrative of anti-Sara Duterte. Messaging narrative nila. Nasa message board yun nila sa mga anti-Sara Duterte,” she stated.
Duterte also questioned if House members are the right persons to discipline the OVP after some congressmen were tagged in alleged ‘kickback’ schemes following the discovery of alleged multi-billion anomalous flood control projects.
“Hindi naman kasi parent ang House of Representatives for them to say kailangan disiplinahin ang Vice President dahil sa totoo lang ang tawag nga natin sa kanila mga ‘buwaya’ di ba. Ganun yung general perception for all members of the House of Representatives. Wala silang moral ascendancy over the Office of the Vice President,” she said.
