Black Saturday is the quiet day of Holy Week, observed between the crucifixion & Jesus' resurrection.

Somehow, it reflects a reality we recognized today. There are moments when the world feels uncertain and all we can do is wait & carry on. Faith, in moments like this, may not always be visible, but it remains.

Today, may Black Saturday remind us to continue to keep the faith & learn to stand unshaken, trusting that even in silence, something greater is still at work.

On Good Friday, Jesus was crucified. After days of growing tension, He was arrested, brought before authorities, and sentenced to death. He was mocked, beaten, and made to carry the cross on which He could be executed.

Those who had followed Him watched from a distance. The one they believed in, the one who taught, healed, and spoke of a different kind of kingdom, was now hanging on a cross. In the hours that followed, Jesus remained on the cross until his death.

For believers, this day marks the crucifixion of Jesus, remembered as the moment that He gave his life on the cross.

On this night, Jesus sat at the table with the twelve disciples for the Last Supper. He knew what was to come, yet He chose to remain with them.

Instead of asserting power, He knelt to wash their feet. In a moment where He could have claimed authority, He chose instead to serve. In doing so, He showed that true strength is not found in power, but in humility.

Maundy Thursday reminds us that to follow Him is to choose the same path. To serve when it is not easy. To remain humble, even when the world teaches otherwise.
