More than 20 local and foreign firms are eyeing investments in the Luzon Economic Corridor as the Philippines moves forward with the proposed AI-native industrial hub under the Pax Silica initiative in New Clark City.

A proposed 4,000-acre Pax Silica development is about to be build in New Clark City. This marks a significant milestone in the Philippines' bid to become a premier hub for artificial intelligence and advanced industries.

This unveils a ceremonial marker for the proposed site, jointly led by Under Secretary Helberg, Department of Trade and Industry Undersecretary and Board of Investments Managing Head Ceferino "Perry" Rodolfo, and BCDA President and CEO Joshua Bingcang.

The ceremony underscored the deepening strategic partnership between the Philippines and the United States under the Luzon Economic Corridor framework.

Under Secretary Helberg framed the initiative as a direct response to the fragilities of the current global supply chain order. "When 90% of a critical input comes from one country, you don't have a supply chain, you have a hostage chain," he said.

The Pax Silica site in New Clark City is envisioned as the answer, an economic security zone.
