Upang higit pang mapatatag ang suplay ng kuryente sa mga komunidad at masuportahan ang paglago ng lokal na ekonomiya at paglikha ng trabaho, lumagda ang Cavite State University (CvSU) ng isang P2-bilyong kasunduan sa Philko Group of Companies para sa paglalagay ng mga solar power system sa 13 kampus nito.

Ang proyekto ay ipatutupad sa pamamagitan ng public-private partnership (PPP) at naglalayong pababain ang gastusin ng unibersidad sa kuryente, kumita mula sa sobrang enerhiyang maibebenta sa national grid, at makatanggap ng bahagi sa kita mula sa carbon credits.

Ayon sa pamunuan ng CvSU, makatutulong din ang dagdag na baseload capacity sa pagsuporta sa target ng bansa na makamit ang 35-porsiyentong green energy mix pagsapit ng 2030, alinsunod sa mga layunin ng Paris Agreement at Kyoto Protocol.

Nilagdaan ni CvSU President Agnes Nuestro ang kontrata bilang bahagi ng proyektong isinulong ni Presidential Adviser for Poverty Alleviation Larry Gadon.

Bahagi ang inisyatibang ito ng mas malawak na programa sa solar power na sumasaklaw din sa mga ospital sa ilalim ng Department of Health.

Maglalagak ng humigit-kumulang ₱10 bilyon ang Megaworld Corporation sa pamamagitan ng retail arm nitong Megaworld Lifestyle Malls para sa pagtatayo ng mga bagong lifestyle mall sa iba’t ibang township sa bansa hanggang 2026.

Kabilang sa mga itatayo ang Maple Grove Mall sa Lungsod ng General Trias, Cavite, na inaasahang magiging bagong sentro ng pamimili at kainan sa lalawigan. Ang dalawang palapag na mall ay magkakaroon ng “classical modern” na disenyo at mag-aalok ng piling retail at dining options para sa lumalaking komunidad sa Cavite.

Ayon kay Graham Coates, patuloy ang paglakas ng consumer spending sa mga pangunahing growth area tulad ng Cavite, kaya’t pinalalawak ng kumpanya ang kanilang leasing portfolio at retail concepts.

Bahagi ito ng ₱65-bilyong capital expenditure program ng Megaworld para sa 2026, na sumusuporta sa pagpapalawak ng residential, office, hospitality, at retail projects sa Metro Manila at mga probinsya.

Sa kasalukuyan, may mahigit 500,000 square meters na gross leasable area (GLA) ang Megaworld sa retail portfolio nito, at target nitong maabot ang isang milyong square meters pagsapit ng 2030.
