FROM ROTC & PE TO LAND TITLES — WHAT A JOURNEY!
What a day it was!
My first stop was at UM Matina Campus – DPT Building for the closing of a sale of an agricultural property in IGACOS, owned by a young and pretty professor of the University of Mindanao.
But more than the transaction itself, this visit brought back a lot of memories.
I first set foot on the UM Matina Campus sometime in 1992, when I was there for my ROTC training and PE classes. At that time, the campus looked very different. Fast-forward more than three decades later, and wow—the development is truly remarkable!
And there's another beautiful twist to the story.
Years later, I came back to UM not as an ROTC student, but as a student once again—this time taking BS Real Estate Management, including my NSTP 1 and 2.
Who would have thought that approximately eight years later, I would find myself facilitating the closing of a land transaction and eventually helping process the transfer of the land title?
From student days… to real estate… to helping other people acquire and secure their own piece of land.
Life really has a funny and beautiful way of bringing us full circle.
From UM Matina, I headed to Abreeza Mall in Bajada for another closing—this time with another young and equally beautiful investor who also invested in agricultural land in IGACOS.
And here's what makes the day even more interesting:
🌴 Two young and beautiful ladies
🌴 Two investors
🌴 Two agricultural properties
🌴 And their properties are right beside each other!
What a coincidence!
But beyond the smiles and beautiful personalities, these investments represent something much more important—financial foresight.
Investing in agricultural land in IGACOS can be a long-term wealth-building strategy. Land is finite, and as the island continues to develop, properly located properties may become increasingly valuable.
Whether the future plan is agricultural use, family ownership, long-term appreciation, or another legally permissible use under applicable land-use and zoning rules, owning land can provide an enduring asset that can be passed on to the next generation.
For these two young investors, they are not simply buying a piece of earth.
They are buying an opportunity. An asset that can appreciate over time.
A property that can become part of their future portfolio.
And most importantly, a tangible investment that they can call their own.
