▪️Patina can develop when your knife makes contact to reactant such as onions, lemon, or any acidic ingredients.
PATINA is a type of corrosion but a friendly one. It’s the armor of a knife blade – mostly carbon steel blades – protecting it from further oxidation that can lead to rust!

Proper way for cleaning your Japanese Blades🀄️
▪️Whether you have a high-carbon steel or stainless steel knife, you should get into the habit of washing off your knife with a damp soapy cloth or sponge, and drying it thoroughly after each use. Don't let your new knife air dry especially if it's made of high-carbon steel, as it can rust and develop patinas -Knifewear
