Stay Ready, Stay Together
Life is full of surprises, but while we can't foresee every crisis, we can control how we handle them. Spending just a bit of time today gathering your essentials means that if you ever need to move fast, you can focus on what truly matters: keeping your loved ones safe.
Here are three simple ways to get started:
Pack a 3-Day Emergency Bag: Prioritize the essentials. Make sure you have clean water, non-perishable snacks, a reliable flashlight, and a backup battery for your phone to get you through the critical first few days.
Establish a Lifeline: Local cell networks can easily become overloaded during an emergency. Pick a relative or friend who lives out of town to serve as your family's main point of contact so everyone can check in safely.
Pick Your Meeting Places: Decide on two distinct locations where your family can reunite if you get split up. Walk or drive the routes together so everyone knows exactly how to get there without thinking.
Spread the word to friends and family so we can all look out for one another!
