The Sangguniang Bayan of Sta. Cruz has been recognized with an Award of Recognition under the 1st to 3rd Class Municipality Category – Rank 2 in the 2025 Local Legislative Award.

Conferred by the Department of Interior and Local Government, this honor reflects the SB’s exemplary service, strong commitment to responsive legislation, and dedication to enhancing the welfare of our constituents.

This was warded on 11 December 11 2025 during the PCL Ilocos Sur Year-End Assembly in Vigan City.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁𝗮. 𝗖𝗿𝘂𝘇 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮–𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

The Sangguniang Bayan of Sta. Cruz formally concluded its 2022–2025 legislative term during its final session held on June 24.

Presiding Officer, Vice Mayor Atty. Virgilio J. Valle, extended his heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing councilors, department heads, and partner national government agencies for their invaluable contributions in maintaining a strong and effective legislative body.

In a special acknowledgment, the Local Government Unit led by Mayor Teresita C. Valle paid tribute to SBM Fernando Javonillo Jr., who completed his three consecutive terms as a dedicated legislator.

The councilors-elect also graced the session hall, marking their anticipation and readiness to officially assume office on July 1.

The body also bid farewell to first-term councilor Atty. Anne Sharmaine Cortez. Vice Mayor Valle commended her for her steadfast commitment and unwavering support to the administration throughout her tenure.
