🌿🫒 SOMEWHERE BETWEEN THE MEDITERRANEAN AND BANTAYAN…
Two little olive trees have arrived.
Their story begins in Italy, continues through Provence, follows us to Paris, crosses the world to Cebu, and ends at least for now in Santa Fe, Bantayan Island. 🇮🇹🇫🇷🇵🇭
How they got here is another story.
There were documents, inspections, plant quarantine requirements, and a careful journey through the proper channels. Nothing hurried. Nothing taken for granted. Just a quiet determination to see whether something so unlikely could, in fact, find its way home.
We are grateful to the Bureau of Plant Industry – Region VII Plant Quarantine Service in Cebu and Manila, the French Ministry of Agriculture, Bureau of Customs, and Mactan-Cebu International Airport for their assistance throughout the process. 🙏🌿
And now, their next chapter begins at Villa PaSeafic & Apartelle.
Soon, they will be planted beside the pool, beneath the Tropics. 🌴🫒
Perhaps one day, someone will sit beside them, enjoy the afternoon breeze, and simply assume they have always belonged here.
They won’t know that these little trees once stood among the landscapes of Provence.
They won’t know how many borders they crossed.
They will simply see two olive trees quietly growing in Bantayan.
And perhaps that is how it should be.
Some journeys are better left as stories.
Some stories are better left beneath the leaves. 🌿✨
From Italy → Provence → Paris → Cebu → Bantayan.
