Fight for Your Marriage, for It Is Sacred in the Sight of God
Not every storm is a sign to leave.
Not every hardship is a reason to quit.
Some battles are meant to be fought
And this… this is one of them.
Fight for your marriage,
For it is sacred in the sight of God.
There will be moments of silence,
Moments of misunderstanding,
Moments when love feels distant
But do not forget:
You did not choose this alone…
God Himself entrusted this to you.
In Genesis 2:24, it is written:
“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”
One flesh
Not easily broken,
Not meant to be divided.
And in Ecclesiastes 4:12:
“A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”
You, your spouse, and God
When He is at the center,
Your bond becomes unshakable.
Yes, love can be tested.
Yes, hearts can grow weary.
But love is not just a feeling that fades
It is a commitment that stands.
In 1 Corinthians 13:7, it reminds us:
“Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
Endures all things
Even the seasons that feel impossible.
So fight for your marriage
Not just when it’s easy,
But especially when it’s hard.
Choose to stay when walking away feels easier.
Choose to forgive when pain runs deep.
Choose to love, again and again
Because real love is a daily decision.
And when the world asks,
“Why do you keep fighting?”
Let your answer be this:
Because this marriage is not just ours
It is God-given, God-ordained, God-sustained.
And what God has joined together,
Let no one separate.
