National Heroes Day - You're my Hero! 🇵🇭🧡
Today, August 29, 2022 (Monday) is a special nonworking Holiday, wherein we celebrate National Heroes Day. We commemorate this day to pay tribute to our heroes who sacrificed themselves for the betterment of the country.
Our long river of Filipino history proves that difficult times have produced brave Filipino heroes that fought against foreign oppression and various problems. This includes our well-known national heroes, who sacrificed their lives to fight for the independence and democracy of their fellow Filipino people.
Nowadays, we have our modern-day heroes - who continuously risked their lives for the welfare of the Filipino people. May we always remember their efforts and give importance to their words as they genuinely think of everyone's well-being.
Our fight is not yet over, as we face a dark future ahead of us under a regime where good faith can't be trusted easily. Bearing the lives of our fallen heroes, now together with the heroes of the new era, we will strive to protect our rights, welfare, and freedom from any oppression it may undertake–enduring no injustice.
With an enlightened, brave, and genuinely unified demeanor, we will continue the fight with the pantheons of power of all Filipino heroes.
