Dear Friends of BalayGugma,

This is our latest update on our Library of Love Project 😊 From a bare prison walls to a beautifully painted one.

From ordinary chairs to comfortable and inviting benches. With your donations and love gifts, we are able to share a piece of joy, love and hope to our brothers and sisters of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP-Jordan).

We do not stop here.

We continue to help the community inside BJMP by sharing a piece of our blessings.

Our remaining project for the Library are as follows:
1. Television-to augment the ALS program of the learners.
2. Speakers and microphone- to aid their learning workshops, retreats and seminars
3. Seat covers- (leather covered foams) or throw pillows- if you have reusable throw pillows, we would be happy to receive them ☺️

No one is too poor to give.

Dear Donors and Sponsors,

05Jul26, BalayGugma learned that Brgy. Capt. Raymund Gatinao took over as the PISO wifi provider of Serum Ati Community.

Therefore, our sponsor Charles Cool gave way and will pull out its operation from the Community.

Balay Gugma ang friends would like to thank Manong Charles for being our project Sponsor since 2024. With his help, we are able the finance the Electricity Bill of Serum Ati Community Tribal Hall until December 2,2025.

02Dec25 was the date that we appealed to the Head of the Brgy. to include the Tribal Hall in their budget as the Hall is used by public especially by the indigenous people. That time, the Head of the Brgy. advised us that he will assist.

As of date, the total sponsorship Serum Ati Community has is Php 24,881.82 and is in the possession of the Serum Ati Chieftain’s wife, manang Sharon Mesahon.

This fund is to be used for Serum Ati Community’s Livelihood Project.

Back in 2024, we invested on the “Banig making project” for the senior citizens but it didn’t materialize so we are collaborating with the People of Serum Ati Community as to how we can create a sustainable livelihood project for them.

Balay Gugma received 20 pcs /1set of New Webster's Dictionary and Encyclopedia from its donor Tonette Alloso last 01Feb26.

Yesterday, 15Feb26, BalayGugma personally handed over this donation to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology -Jordan (BJMP-Jordan).

These helpful books will be utilized by PDLs (Persons Deprived of Liberty) who wish to continue their education through the Alternative Learning System (ALS) Program.

BalayGugma is in the process of developing a sustainable livelihood program for the Persons Deprived of Liberty through its Poject 16: Igniting PDLs sense of Purpose through Pottery (IPPP).

In collaboration with Tultul Salt Manufacturing , we visited RGL pottery last 10Feb26. We are now looking for volunteers/trainers who can conduct manual pottery training at BJMP Jordan.

As of 04Feb26, we received additional sets of books to be added to the Library.

Who will use these and for what?

Well, the BJMP Jordan Jordan District Jail started an ALS (ALternative Learning School) Program for PDLs who dreamed to continue studying inspite their circumstance.

Like most of us, they have dreams too and they hope that with the gifts of Justice, Truth, Forgiveness and total healing, they will come out better and serve our community in a small yet impactful way.

If you have hope-giving books, pottery, arts and crafts and academic books for Secondary and College students, get in touch with me.

While I am home, I will personally pick up your books donations and take it to BJMP-Jordan.

Library enhancement is ongoing. If you have unused yet well functioning television, speaker and microphone, we accept them as donations in kind. There are Seminars regularly conducted by various community volunteers and having the proper learning tools and equipment, will increase the learning effectiveness.

As of 04Feb26,1345H, BalayGugma received an additional Php 3,000 gcash donation from one of our Major Sponsors Syg Gimotea . Same amount was wired to BJMP representative's Gcash account. This will be utilized to build an additional sofa/bookshelf for the Librarry.

Project 15

Thanksgiving, awarding and reinforcement of Nature Preservation, Thriftiness and Basic Personal Hygiene.

This has been a long planned event but due to our tight holidays schedule, it is only today that the Project came into completion.

Today, 24Jan25, 44 children, youth volunteers and parents gathered for a mini celebration,thanksgiving and relearning.

My elementary classmate,Pastor Daniel Marquez
, my aunt Nanay Maria Lourdes from the Daughters of Charity and my cousin Jero Gabales Garrovillo graced our event with their presence.

BalayGugma 's good friends Undefined Shehh , Melanie Abilo, RockRacer Gem Cerbas, Jiejie Pama Tan relentlessly shared their financial support on our "rush call for volunteers/sponsors".

It was heartwarming to witness God's working hands in this Project. Within 5 minutes of connecting with sponsors, we were able to gather pledges.
