5 Things to do While on a Tagaytay Daytrip/ Roadtrip

My office mates decided to have our team building in Tagaytay.

But let's face it, there aren't that much to do in Tagaytay except for trekking, eating, and enjoying the cool weather. So the challenge is to come up with an itinerary that would maximize our time and budget.

We left Makati at around 7:00 am and (with minimal traffic) arrived at the city proper by 9:00 am.

As commercialized as it may have become over the decades, Tagaytay remains to be a top favorite among Metro Manila dwellers looking for a quick escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. Dubbed as the “Second Summer Capital of the Philippines,” Tagaytay has it all: cool climate, wonderful scenery, and delectable food. The best part is, you do not need a big budget to enjoy the city, making it the perfect getaway for peso-pinching travelers. Some recreational centers are so affordable, one can get away with having just Php250 in their pocket as spending money.

Once you get to the city, you can take your car, a jeepney, or a tricycle to any of these places, where a budget of Php250 will go a long way.

Truly, this is a very unusual part of the Philippines because the rest of the places are either too warm or too wet. Ok, I maybe exaggerating a bit but Tagaytay’s weather is totally different from the rest of the areas in the country. No doubt, the highland city is a famous destination for people who want to go on a retreat as there are a lot of seminaries here. Needless to say, it’s a perfect site for love birds; you can feel the romance in the air. I’d also recommend this place if you want to get away from the busyness of Metro Manila which is only 2-hours away. Standing on top, looking below is incomparably refreshing. Let me show you some pictures of my first day in this city.
