The Client I Never Met, But Will Never Forget

She was never my client.

She was the client of one of my co-agents.

But her story is one I'll never forget.

She was only 29 years old.
Single mom.
May dalawang anak—11 years old at 2 years old.
Katulad ng maraming magulang, hindi madali ang buhay. Kailangan niyang pagkasyahin ang budget para sa pagkain, bills, tuition, at lahat ng pangangailangan ng mga anak niya.

Sa totoo lang, marami siyang dahilan para sabihin na, "Next time na lang muna."

But she didn't.

Instead, she chose to prioritize protection. ❤️ She chose PRU.

Imagine sa gitna ng tight budget. Nagawa nya pang mag tabi ng 100 per day.
Not because she had extra money.
Not because life was comfortable.
Kundi dahil alam niyang may dalawang batang umaasa sa kanya. 🥹

Sinabi niya daw habang nag-uusap sila.

"Hindi ko alam ang mangyayari bukas. Ang alam ko lang, gusto kong handa ang mga anak ko kung sakali. Dahil sa akin lang sila umaasa. Gusto kong protektahan future nila." 💞

Just three months after getting her life insurance, an unexpected accident happened.

She slipped in the bathroom, hit her head, suffered a hemorrhage, and sadly passed away. 😭

Ang sakit.

Lalo na kapag alam mong napakabata pa niya.
At mas lalong masakit isipin ang dalawang batang naiwan.

Pero sa gitna ng lungkot, may isang bagay na tumatak sa isip ko.

Hindi niya hinintay na maging mayaman. Kahit na alam nyang bata at healthy pa sya, hindi sya nag dalwang isip.

Alam nyang ang buhay ay unpredictable.
Hindi niya hinintay ang "tamang panahon."
Hindi niya hinintay na maging perfect ang sitwasyon.
She simply did what she could, while she still could.

At doon ko mas lalong na-realize...

Life insurance isn't really about death.

It's about love.

It's about a parent who wants to make sure that even if life takes an unexpected turn, the children they love will still have something to hold on to.
That story also reminded me of something else.

Life is fragile.

So while we're busy building our careers and chasing our dreams, let's not forget to live.

Spend time with the people you love.

Share meals.
Take photos.
Travel together.
Laugh often.
Create memories.

Because one day, those ordinary moments will become the memories we treasure the most.

And while we're creating those memories, let's also prepare for tomorrow.

Not because we're living in fear.
But because love plans ahead. ✅✅✅

Tell them you love them.
Go home.
Hug them.
Spend time with them.

As I grow older, I appreciate my parents in ways I never fully understood when I was younger.

The older I get, the more I realize that life's greatest treasures aren't things—they're the moments we share with the people we love.

Meals with my family. That simple call from my parents saying, "Kakain na!" so we could all eat together. 🥹🥰

Growing up, we were never the showy or affectionate type.
That's just how our family was.
Hearing the words "I LOVE YOU!" felt a little cringey for all of us. 😅
But I guess every family has its own love language.

For us, it was the simple kwentuhan at the dining table. 😊The chismisan after a long day.
The quiet comfort of knowing someone is always there for you.
The meals our parents prepared every single day. Their support wasn't always spoken, but you could always feel it. ♥️

As children, we often think these moments will always be there.

But growing up teaches us otherwise.

As a daughter, I've learned to treasure every chance I get to spend time with my family—especially with my parents.
As we grow older, they grow older too. 🥺

Life outside our homes is already demanding, stressful, and unpredictable.

That's why I believe our homes should always be our safe place.

Make time for the people you love.

Put your phone down.

Listen to their stories.

Take photos.

Travel together.

Celebrate the ordinary days, not just the special occasions.

Because memories are something no one can ever take away from us.

Time is precious. Once it's gone, we can never get it back.

And because we love our families so deeply, we also want to protect them from the burdens we can prepare for today.

That's why I believe in life insurance.

Not because it can ever replace love—it never will.

But because it's one way of saying,
"Even when I'm no longer around, my love and care will continue."

Love them with your time today.

Protect them for tomorrow.

Both are priceless. ❤️

Looking for a Purpose Beyond a Paycheck.

Bata pa lang ako, malaking parte na ng buhay ko ang Taekwondo. Started it when I was just 9 years old.
Doon ko natutunan na hindi lahat ng laban panalo. Hindi lahat ng success instant. Kailangan ng disiplina, consistency, patience, at lakas ng loob para bumangon sa bawat challenge.

Hanggang ngayon, dala-dala ko pa rin ang mga lessons na 'yon sa bawat aspeto ng buhay ko.
Eventually, naging Taekwondo coach ako ng mga bata. At doon ko mas na-realize na iba pala ang fulfillment kapag nakikita mong unti-unting natututo at lumalakas ang loob ng isang bata. Ang sarap sa pakiramdam makita silang mas nagiging confident, mas matatag, at mas naniniwala sa sarili nilang kakayahan.

Habang tumatagal, naisip ko... baka ito talaga ang purpose ko—ang mag-guide, mag-share ng kaalaman, at makatulong sa ibang tao.

Ngayon, bilang Financial Advisor, ganoon pa rin ang ginagawa ko—iba lang ang arena.

Hindi lang ako nag-uusap tungkol sa insurance. Mas gusto kong makinig sa mga pangarap ng bawat pamilya, sa mga goals nila, at maging sa mga worries na madalas hindi nila nasasabi sa iba. Gusto kong matulungan silang magkaroon ng mas secure at mas worry-free na future, lalo na't hindi lahat nagkaroon ng pagkakataong matuto tungkol sa financial literacy.

Outside of work, mahilig akong mag-travel, mag-explore ng nature, at gumawa ng memories kasama ang pamilya at mga kaibigan. Doon ko mas lalo nare-realize kung gaano kahalaga ang bawat moment at ang mga taong mahal natin.

At dahil mahalaga sila, naniniwala akong deserve din nilang magkaroon ng protection.

Hindi ako nananatili sa career na ito dahil lang sa income.

Nananatili ako dahil alam kong bawat tamang conversation pwedeng maging simula ng mas secured na future para sa isang pamilya.

At para sa akin, iyon ang tunay na success—ang makagawa ng positibong impact sa buhay ng iba.

There was a time when I believed financial planning was something only wealthy people needed.

But as I met more families and listened to their stories, I realized something that changed my perspective completely.

Na mas kailangan pala ito ng mga pamilyang araw-araw nag sisikap para maitaguyod ang pangangailangan ng kanilang mga mahal sa buhay.
Yung mga breadwinner na walang choice kundi pumasok sa trabaho kahit pagod at drain na drain na.

Yung mga magulang na inuuna palagi ang pamilya bago ang sarili nila.

Na hindi lang pala ito tungkol lang sa pera. Tungkol ito sa pag mamahal.
Sa responsibilidad. At sa pag protekta sa mga taong mahal natin dahil hindi natin kontrolado ang pwedeng mangyari bukas. 🥺

It's about making sure that life's unexpected moments don't take away the future you've worked and built so hard for.

That's why I continue doing what I do today. Iba sa pakiramdam kapag alam mong may pamilya kang natulungan. ♥️
