CAVITEX–CALAX LINK EXPRESSWAY PROJECT
The CAVITEX–CALAX Link Expressway Project (CCLink), by Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South), aims to link the CAVITEX Kawit Exit to the CALAX Kawit Interchange. Last May 13, 2024, EEI Corp. reported that they have been awarded the 1.79-billion PHP contract to construct the project, which will be a 2x2-lane elevated tollway along Antero Soriano Highway (formerly Centennial Road).
Currently, the southwest endpoint of the Manila–Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) is the CAVITEX Kawit Exit, right after the Kawit Toll Plaza, which is located in Brgy. Binakayan-Aplaya and Brgy. Binakayan-Kanluran in the Municipality of Kawit. CAVITEX Kawit Exit intersects to Tirona Highway and Antero Soriano Highway. This intersection is called Zeus Junction.
Meanwhile, the underconstruction northwest endpoint of the Cavite–Laguna Expressway (CALAX) is the CALAX Kawit Interchange, which is located within Evo City — a 200-hectare township development project by Ayala Land Inc. The CALAX Kawit Interchange intersects to Antero Soriano Highway in Brgy. Batong Dalig, Kawit.
CCLink is also referred to as the MCTEP Segment 4 Extension Project. MPT South's Manila–Cavite Toll Expressway Project (MCTEP) is a large project that is divided into five segments. The entirety of Segment 1 combined with a big portion of Segment 4 makes up the constructed CAVITEX. The remaining small portion of Segment 4 is the CCLink that EEI Corp. will be constructing.
Once completed, CCLink may help in decongesting traffic in the areas of Zeus and Gahak. Ultimately, CCLink will fully integrate CAVITEX, CALAX, and the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) Mamplasan Interchange in Biñan, Laguna.
