The event, themed "Tulong Dunong", is part of a Commission on Higher Education (CHED) program providing $7,500 in educational assistance to each beneficiary, as confirmed by TSU Scholarship Financial Unit Head Sarah Gonzales. All recipients are from Tarlac's second district: 158 from Tarlac City, 27 from Victoria, 17 from San Jose, and 11 from Gerona
Governor Yap, who secured funding for the program during his term as district congressman, congratulated the scholars and encouraged them to persist in their studies, emphasizing their role in shaping the future of the province and the country.
Vice Governor Aquino also stressed the value of education and expressed her hopes that TSU will produce top-tier graduates in various fields who will bring pride to Tarlac.
