This quote’s meant more to me over the last couple years than almost anything else
If you haven’t read it before or you’re just now seeing it, take a quick glance, I think it’s more relevant now than ever in the environment we’re all navigating
I left behind a solid real estate career in Utah, I’d spent nearly five years building a name, making connections, and finally hitting my stride after college sports, I walked away from all of it and moved to Florida without knowing anyone, just chasing a bigger opportunity
Since then, we’ve had our share of losses, six figures gone on deals that went bad, contractors who stole from us, wrong hires, missteps, for the first year I couldn’t even get licensed here, so I was flipping and wholesaling with one hand tied behind my back
And through all of it, we kept going
Not because I had it all figured out, just because I refused to quit
We’ve now closed over 100 deals since landing in Florida, we’re doing our first ground-up construction projects, we’ve built something real through consistency, mistakes, and just showing up every day no matter what
A lot of new real estate professionals come to me asking what the secret is and the truth is it’s not a secret at all, it’s just not quitting, showing up when it’s not convenient, staying focused when no one’s clapping for you, and doing the work over and over again even when it feels like it’s not working
What’s crazy is how quickly most people quit on their dream, and it’s not because they didn’t have the talent, it’s because they didn’t stick around long enough to let the effort compound
That’s what this quote reminds me of, the people who keep going, especially when it would be easier to stop, tend to be the ones who come out stronger on the other side
And that applies to way more than real estate, business, parenting, fitness, leadership, relationships, every path has its own challenges
The ones who figure it out aren’t perfect, they’re just still standing
Whatever your arena is, just keep getting back up
