Distinguished Academicians and Industry Leaders Visit Tariq Sharif Smart City & University of Potohar

Tariq Sharif Smart City had the privilege of hosting Prof. Ts. Dr. Khalid Hussain, a renowned Professor of Cybersecurity at Albukhary International University, and Ts. Dr. Muhammad Imran Sarwar, Group CEO of Datalytica AI, Industry Advisor to University of Wollongong, and Professor at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka.

The distinguished guests were received by Vice Chairman Wise Group, Prof. Dr. Rafique Ahmed Ghuncha, and were given a comprehensive briefing on the vision, development progress, and future plans of Tariq Sharif Smart City. The delegation was also taken on an extensive tour of the project's key facilities and development sites, where they witnessed firsthand the scale and ambition of this transformative initiative.

During the visit, productive discussions were held regarding potential collaboration between University of Potohar and Datalytica AI. The discussions focused on industry-academia integration, artificial intelligence applications, skills development, technology transfer, research collaboration, and the implementation of Smart IoT systems to support the University's vision of becoming a future-ready center of excellence.

Mr. Sufyan Jameel, Country Head Branch Banking, Samba Bank, along with Mr. Faizan-ul-Hassan Ansari, Regional Head North, visited the Gujar Khan and wider Potohar region to review the bank's network growth and future opportunities.

During their visit, they toured Tariq Sharif Smart City accompanied by Mr. Ahmed Jogi, Assistant Vice President & Branch Manager, Samba Bank Gujar Khan. The delegation was received by Mr. Arshid Bhatti and the Tariq Sharif Smart City team.
