🌟 Golden Principles of Business — In the Light of the Prophetic Shariah ﷺ 🌟
If these principles are followed, then by the will of Allah, you will find blessings, lawful sustenance, and peace of heart.
---
1️⃣ Purify Your Intentions – Seek Only Allah’s Pleasure
Every business begins with an intention. The intention should be to earn lawful income, benefit others, and please Allah.
---
2️⃣ Earn Only Through Halal (Lawful) Means
Avoid selling anything prohibited in Islam (such as alcohol, interest-based services, or deceptive products). Even a small halal earning is far better than abundant haram.
---
3️⃣ Avoid Lies, Deceit, and Fraud
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
> ❝ Whoever cheats is not one of us. ❞ (Muslim)
It is essential to be honest about the quality, price, and weight of the goods.
---
4️⃣ Be Honest in Weighing and Measuring
The Qur’an says:
> ❝ Woe to those who give less in measure and weight. ❞ (Surah Al-Mutaffifin)
Giving less than what is due is sinful and destroys the blessings of business.
---
5️⃣ Fulfill Promises and Commitments
Delivering goods, completing services, or making payments on time are all signs of a true believer.
---
6️⃣ Stay Completely Away from Interest (Riba)
Those who give and take interest are cursed. Interest has no place in Islamic business dealings.
---
7️⃣ Treat Employees with Kindness
The Prophet ﷺ said:
> ❝ Pay the worker his wages before his sweat dries. ❞
Injustice or oppression invites the wrath of Allah.
---
8️⃣ Do Not Hoard Goods
Creating artificial scarcity to raise prices is a form of injustice. The Prophet ﷺ condemned hoarders as sinners.
---
9️⃣ Promote Justice and Fairness
Treat customers, suppliers, and workers with fairness. Do not usurp anyone’s rights.
---
🔟 Place Your Trust in Allah and Keep Praying
After making all efforts, rely on Allah and continue to pray:
> "O Allah, suffice me with what You have made lawful so that I may avoid what You have made unlawful, and enrich me by Your grace from needing anyone besides You."
---
💬 Conclusion:
Honesty, truthfulness, and adherence to Islamic principles are the true keys to success.
In shaa Allah, there is only blessing in honest business.
