MONTHLY REPORT! ( )🌧️(AUGUST 2021)

🔵 The performed poorly as a whole across most parts of in the month of August, causing WELL BELOW to NEAR RECORD LOW rainfall in some parts owing to lack of moisture incursion from the Bay of Bengal and lesser Western Disturbances. In the Twin cities, almost ALL areas received WELL BELOW NORMAL rainfall with few rainy days. Overall, We've witnessed one of the lowest august rainfall totals in the last10 years. A major highlight of this month was unusually greater number of HAILSTORM events and cool thunderstorm rain.

🔵 : HIGHLY BELOW NORMAL at ISLAMABAD & RAWALPINDI OFFICIAL STATIONS

Islamabad (PMD HQ @ H-8/2 ) has recorded 124 mm of rainfall with 12 rainy days against a long-term average (1981-2010) of 334.7 mm making it DEFICIENT by 63 % while Rawalpindi (Old Airport @ Chaklala) has recorded 164.9 mm with 10 rainy days against a long-term average (1981-2010) of 340.3 mm, making it DEFICIENT by 52 %
