Renowned Pakistani architect Yasmeen Lari has respectfully declined the 2025 Wolf Prize worth Rs 2.79 Crore in architecture, citing her deep concern for the huma-nitar-ian situation in Ga_za.

The Wolf Prize, awarded in Isr_ael since 1978, honors achievements in various fields, including architecture.

Lari, known for her commitment to social justice and sustainable architecture, stated that refusing the award was “the very least I could do.”

Founder of the Heritage Foundation of Pakistan, she has contributed to eco-friendly construction, including 50,000 self-built shelters and 80,000 cooking stoves for marginalized communities.
