The federal government has confirmed that the Rs. 10 billion Park Road infrastructure project in Islamabad is progressing on schedule, with the first phase expected to be completed in July.
According to Minister of State for Interior Muhammad Talal Chaudhry, construction started in March and has not faced any delays. The project includes an underpass, service roads, overhead structures, and other upgrades designed to improve traffic flow and connectivity in the capital.
The underpass, which is the first phase, will be completed in July, while the remaining work is expected to finish in August. The project is being developed in partnership with DHA and the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO), which are also handling financing. Once completed, it is expected to improve links between Park Road, Margalla Enclave, and nearby sectors, while reducing traffic congestion, travel time, and fuel use.
