Phase I


Phase I was launched in May 1992 and is situated in the serene and picturesque loop of Soan River close to Grand Trunk (GT), following the asymmetrical terrain of the potohar. Phase 1 is spread over an area of 11101 kanals which is divided in 3107 Residential plots of one kanal each. This phase has been divided into six sectors. This phase is fully developed with all amenities, taking care of your principal as well as your leisure needs. Plots of standard size ( i.e. 50*90 and 45 * 100) are allotted to members. Construction activity is in full swing, 707 families have occupied the houses while 206 houses are under construction.

Underground Electrification
DHA Islamabad has achieved another milestone by successfully implementing underground electricity supply system in Sector-A, Phase I.

An inauguration ceremony was held in Sector-A in presence of Administrator DHA Islamabad as chief guest.


Neat and Clean Environment & Perimeter Fence
DHA-I gives you a very neat and clean environment in which you can live comfortably. Perimeter fence has been made all along the boundary along the bank of River Soan for better security and to keep the encroachers at bay.

Defence Park
Defence park with 130 feet shooter and 65 feet high water fall, unique not only in the country but first ever in the twin cities of Islamabad-Rawalpindi. PTCL Exchange was established initially for 550 lines, but now Exchange capacity has increased to more than 2000 lines with underground external network of 3000 lines. Service is now readily available for every resident.

Ambulance & Free transport for labours
A latest model ambulance vehicle is available for residents round the clock.

Garbage Collection
Residents have been provided with a garbage collection basket and polythene bags which are collected by DHA Islamabad garbage vehicle on daily basis.

Phase - II


Phase 2 was launched in Feb 94 and it is located in the famous Kahuta Triangle with one side resting along Islamabad high way and other grand Truck (GT) Road. The Apex is at Rawat and base runs parallel to Soan River. A typical potohar undulation with beautiful view having nice entrance/ exists for all three sides for better accessibility and excellent traffic flow. Phase 2 comprises of 15046 kanals and about 90% of the work has been completed. The development work has already been started with 533 occupied houses and 397 under construction plots at the moment.

DHA Grid Station

Street and Boulevard
Attractive green belts add to the serene environment; while footpaths on both sides make the cemented roads pedestrian and cyclist friendly. Streets inside DHA Islamabad are 40 feet wide; the boulevards are 130 feet wide allowing easy flow of vehicles.

Pre-fabricated boundary wall designed to enhance security and privacy of the residents.

Water tanks and tube well
Aesthetically designed overhead water tanks and tube well rooms.

Underground Electrification
100% under ground electrification of European standards is being ensured. All electricity lines are underground which not only reduce environmental hazards but also make the surrounding quite beautiful. Cables are laid in a trench in groups of three. Each cable trench is a meter deep. Concrete cable covers prevent accidental damage to cables. This will also be well compacted in order to aid the removal of heat.

Petrol Station
Three petrol pumps, one each of PSO, SHELL and TOTAL are planned each including a spare parts shop, service station, mini mart, compress natural gas facility, workshop and a restaurant.

Sector Utility Area
Each Sector will have utility areas comprising of:

Mosque with a capacity of 300 people
School providing primary education
Medical clinic with pharmacy
Park and playing area

Educational Facilities
Four lots have been earmarked for school/college level institutions, one of them specifically for special education.
