CDA to do lane marking on all roads:

Islamabad: July 02, 2013: A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Nadeem Hassan Asif regarding marking of roads and roads safety in Islamabad here on Tuesday at CDA headquarters. This meeting was held to analyze the traffic flow and road marking on different roads in Islamabad.

Member Planning and Design, Member Engineering, Director Markets and Roads Maintenance, Director Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning and SSP Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) also attended this meeting.
Chairman CDA, Nadeem Hassan Asif directed concerned formations to ensure road marking to improve the traffic flow and safety of road users. He said that comprehensive plan would be devised in consultation with all stakeholders.

Chairman, CDA said that in first phase busy roads should be prioritized and road marking should be done in line with international standards in consultation with ITP. Chairman, CDA stressed that road marking will not only provide best traffic facilities to the residents of the federal capital but will also help in reducing road accidents.

Islamabad: July 9, 2013: The Capital Development Authority Tuesday finalized the arrangements to facilitate the residents of the federal capital during the holy month of Ramadan.
Chairman CDA Nadeem Hassan Asif chaired a high level meeting here at CDA Headquarters in this regard which was attended by the Chief Commissioner Islamabad, representatives of police and all CDA Board members.
Chairman CDA, Nadeem Hassan Asif directed the concerned formations of the Authority to ensure availability of edible items especially dates, gram flour (Basin) on subsidize rates at the markets during the Holy month of Ramazan.
Chairman CDA said that all out measures would be taken to ensure the availability edible items in bulk and at subsidized rates for the general public during the month of Ramazan. Chairman CDA directed Member Engineering for frequent supply of water, adding that complaints for shortage of water would be entertained on immediate basis.
Chairman was informed that a complaint centre to facilitate the water-related complaints of the residents had already been established that would work round the clock. Residents could contact at complaint centre number 051-9202218 to lodge their complaints which would be addressed at earliest.
He directed Member Administration to coordinate with Islamabad District Administration to identify specific locations for the establishment of “Sasta Bazaars”. He said that CDA in collaboration with District Administration would control the prices of items at fair-price shops.
To keep the prices stable and to ensure quality of food an assistant commissioner along with a CDA team daily inspect the fair price shops in their assigned areas.

He said that food packets would be distributed among the attendants of the poor patients at hospitals in Islamabad. He said that food packets would also be distributed among the commuters get stuck in the traffic jam on roads during the “Iftar” time.

Chairman CDA said that CDA would ensure the provision of best quality edible items and banners inscribed with slogans “CDA at Service” would also be displayed for the awareness of the public. He directed Member Administration to arrange flood-light sports competitions including cricket, football and other sports as healthy activities for the citizens especially the youth. He also directed for arrangement of recreational activities and “Eid Mala” on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr for the residents of the federal capital.

Chairman CDA, Nadeem Hassan Asif said that Flood Relief Cell would remain high-alter during the monsoon season round the clock, adding that water complaint cells would also remain functional round the clock to overcome the shortage of water.

He directed the concerned formations of the authority to remove the shrubs and bushes around the Masajid, especially Lal Masjid and Jamia Hifsa to ensure the security. Faulty street lights around the mosques would be fixed to ensure convenience and safety of devotees who would attend “Taravih” prayers.
Chairman CDA, Nadeem Hassan Asif directed the all formations of the authority to keep liaison for provision of quality and effective service of the citizens. The Chairman said comprehensive arrangements have been chalked out and the residents would be provided better facilities during the Ramadan.

He also requested the residents to come up with their valuable suggestions on further improving the civic facilities during the holy month. Suggestions if found feasible would be entertained upon their receipt, the Chairman concluded.

Islamabad, July 10, 2013: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Nadeem Hassan Asif has directed the concerned formations of the authority for early completion of construction work on Bari Imam Complex and no further delay would be tolerated.

Nadeem Hassan Asif issued these directions on the eve of his visit to Bari Imam Complex here on Wednesday. On this occasion Member Engineering, Sanaullah Aman, Project Director Bari Imam Complex, Ayaz Khan, Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Member Bari Imam Complex Development Committee Dr Khalid and General (Retd.) Afzal Janjua were also present.

Chairman CDA, Nadeem Hassan Asif directed Engineering Wing of the authority to utilize all resources for early completion of development work on Bari Imam Complex so that shrine could be opened for devotees as soon as possible. Chairman CDA said that remaining construction work on the shrine should be completed within the stipulated time in line with modern techniques so that the shrine could be opened for devotees before the next annual urs. He said that he will visit the shrine on regular basis and would get consistent briefs about the development work on the shrine.

Earlier, Chairman CDA was briefed about the development activities on the shrine. Chairman CDA was apprised that 90 percent construction work has already been completed, which includes shrine’s structure, arcade area and marble flooring, whereas concrete on minarets has also been completed.

Chairman CDA, Nadeem Hassan Asif also laid a wreath on the shrine of Bari Imam and offered dua.
