🚧 Margalla Avenue Extension – A Major Milestone for AWT D-18 & Surrounding Societies! 🚧
Excellent progress is being made on the Margalla Avenue Extension connecting GT Road (Sangjani) to the M-1 Motorway near AWT D-18. The project has entered its final phase, with the groundwork advancing rapidly and major earthworks completed across most sections. Reports also indicate that the required land acquisition for the route has largely been completed, allowing construction to move forward at a much faster pace.
Once completed, this strategic six-lane link will provide a direct, signal-free connection between Islamabad and the Motorway, significantly improving accessibility for AWT D-18, D-17, Engineers Housing Scheme, WAPDA Town, and nearby communities. If construction continues at the current pace and no unforeseen delays occur, the road is expected to connect with the AWT side within the next couple of months.
This infrastructure project is expected to reduce travel time, ease traffic congestion, and further enhance the long-term value and investment potential of the surrounding areas. The future certainly looks promising for residents and investors alike.
