On 5th August 2019, the Indian government revoked the special constitutional status of Jammu and Kashmir by removing Articles 370 and 35A and reorganized the region. In Pakistan, this date is observed as Youm-e-Istehsal to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir and to highlight their aspirations and the humanitarian concerns surrounding the region.
